Oncobiome team
The consortium brings together 20 different cancer cohorts and clinical trial databases and samples collections including feces representing from leading hospitals and cooperative groups in Europe. This is an invaluable asset in this still early field of microbiome & cancer, especially knowing that feces collection is difficult to obtain for patients which have already many samples collected and sometimes already difficult side effects of their disease and disease treatment.
The Oncobiome project is also based on the reuse of existing sample collections and databases.
